And Marketing

Our sustainability policy

Our business statement

And Marketing recognises that it has a responsibility to the environment beyond legal and regulatory requirements.

We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and continually improving our environmental performance as an integral part of our business strategy and operating methods, with regular review points.

Michelle Millar, Director, is responsible for ensuring that the environmental policy is implemented. We take steps both internally and externally to show our commitment to reducing our environmental impact. Below is a summary of our actions:

Issue Actions
Waste management
+ We produce little waste as a digital business.

+ We only print when absolutely necessary.

+ We are committed to reducing the amount of waste produced and we recycle where possible.
Office supplies
+ Consumables usage is very low.

+ We will evaluate the environmental impact of any new products we intend to purchase.

+ We choose environmentally-friendly and/or local options where available and practicable.
Monitoring and improvement
+ We have monitored our energy output for electrical devices using a Tapo smart plug and will continually improve and monitor environmental performance. Our devices currently use <50kWh annually.

+ We have completed the Small Business Sustainability Basics Programme to see where we can make improvements and understand this is an ongoing effort.

+ We have signed up to SME Climate Hub to demonstrate our commitment to mindfully keeping our emissions low.
Maintenance and office cleaning
+ The cleaning materials we use are from Smol, an eco-effective cleaning brand. Find out more.
+ Our electrical power comes from Octopus Energy, 100% green electricity. For more information, visit Octopus Energy.

+ We subscribe to plant trees through Ecologi every month to offset the small amount of carbon we produce through our business. Find out more from Ecologi.

+ Lights and electrical equipment will be switched off when not in use. Our heating is scheduled and has been adjusted with energy consumption in mind.
+ We avoid water wastage wherever possible.
Legal duties
+ We will keep up to change with changes in environmental law and ensure we are fully compliant with our duties.

Issue Actions
+ We mostly work from home, meaning very little transportation is required.

+ Where possible, we promote the use of alternatives to travel such as email or video/phone conferences.

+ Transportation to very local meetings will be on foot wherever possible.

+ We investigate public transport options to meetings or events.

+ We’ll reduce the need to travel, wherever possible.

+ When we need to use a car to travel, we'll be using an electric vehicle.
Customers, suppliers and other stakeholders
+ Our web host is Krystal, which offers 100% green hosting. It uses 100% renewable electricity and plants trees on behalf of its customers. Find out more.

+ We bank with Monzo, a branchless digital bank with a low carbon footprint. Find out more.

+ We will work with suppliers, contractors and sub-contractors to improve their environmental performance.
+ We will work with contractors who are equally as committed to reducing their environmental impact.
